Slayers Jeff Hanneman Has Passed Away in Los Angeles

It is with great sadness that we report that Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman has passed away.

“Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away at about 11AM this morning near his Southern California home,” states the band’s official Facebook.” Hanneman was in an area hospital when he suffered liver failure. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his sister Kathy and his brothers Michael and Larry, and will be sorely missed.

Motley Crue Head Back To Vegas

The world’s most notorious band will be coming back to the world’s most notorious city this fall, when Mötley Crüe returns to Las Vegas.

The rockers best known for going to the extreme will once again take over the stage at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for an exclusive twelve-show engagement September 18 through October 6.

The band blew away fans and critics last February with twelve over-the-top, sold-out shows. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am.

Pink Floyd Rediscover The Dark Side Of The Moon

Pink Floyd and EMI Music will mark the 40th Anniversary of the original UK release of The Dark Side of The Moon on 24 March 2013, as fans around the globe unite to turn a specially designed moon dark.

Centred around a global playback of the album on PinkFloyd.com, each memory, thought and photo tweeted as fans rediscover the album will count towards the creation of a dark side of the moon.

Originally released in the UK on 24 March 1973, The Dark Side of The Moon became Pink Floyd’s first number 1 album in the US, remaining on the chart for 741 weeks between 1973 and 1988. Since its UK release, the album has spent an astonishing 30 years in the UK album charts.

My Chemical Romance Call It Quits

It is a sad day for My Chemical Romance fans as the band have decided to split after a successful 12 years together.

Formed in New Jersey in 2001, the band signed to Eyeball Records and released their debut album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love in 2002.

They signed with Reprise Records the next year and released their major label debut Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004, the album was a commercial success, and was awarded platinum status a little over a year later.
