The first time I ventured into a gig at the Stade De France was for U2 on the 360 tour in 2010. I was completely blown away by the stadium and the experience that I had that night.

I had said to my friend that if Metallica were ever to announce a date here that I would be at it in a heartbeat!

Fast forward 2 years and I find myself in Paris to see Metallica play the Stade De France. Although not the biggest of stadium’s in the world, what impresses me most about the venue is the ease to get to it using the metro and how well the crowd are organised and also the personal touches.

The brilliant and romantic Carosel are after releasing an exclusive cover of the new Britney Spears track – ‘Hold It Against Me’. After an impromptu radio session on Goom Radio in Paris, France, the duo have recorded their unique version of the song. You can find the video HERE

Carosel are singer songwriter Michelle Phelan and Guitarist/instrumentalist Pete McGrane. Originally from Ireland the duo are now based in Paris, France “for inspiration, beauty and artistic vitality of the city”. Catchy and instant, the music of bubbly pop duo has a nicely retro charm and infectious feel good vibe to it. They believe in the feeling of love and sing in the vein of entertainment!

They have notched up some memorable gigs and TV appearances, including The Late Late Show, Oxegen and Electric Picnic. They have also shared the stage with: The Maccabees, Patrick Wolf & Jason Mraz among others at various festivals.
