One of our favourite bands – The Blackout, have announced the next single to be taken from the brilliant album ‘Hope’.

You’re Not Alone, which will be released digitally on 31st October 2011, is an uplifting anthem which shows the bands more delicate side.

Gavin Butler had this to say about the song; “It’s about that moment that everyone has in life when they think that they have to face what is ahead of them on their own. The you realise that you friends and family will step up to help you without even being asked”

The Blackout began life in the Welsh town of Merthyr Tydfil in 2006. With just one EP release under their belt, the sextet were invited by Lostprophets to be the main support on the band’s UK tour. Since then the band have gone from strength to strength. Matthew Davies and Gavin Butler speak to me about what is going on at the moment for the The Blackout, the Welsh music scene and the need for hotdogs!

Hello Guys – it is great to meet you. What day did you get to the Download campsite?

Gavin: We had been touring for a week before so we had a few days off, so myself and my girlfriend came down and setup camp.
