Foo Fighters – iTunes Festival, Roundhouse, Camden

Weak as a kitten was pretty much how I would of described myself after the Sonisphere weekend but no rest for the wicked as it was time to pick myself back up and get ready to see a once in a lifetime show – The Foo Fighters at the Roundhouse, Camden.

When this gig was announced I was so excited – after missing them perform at Oxegen I was gutted, but thankfully this gig saved me from flying all over the place to see them.

They were hands down the highlight act of this year’s iTunes festival.

Jon Bon Jovi – Steve Jobs is “Killing the music industry”

I really do love when musicians express there views on today’s music industry and it is great to see Jon expressing his views.

Any readers of this site will know that I am genuinely concerned about what state the industry will be in – in 20 years time. Will we have live acts? Will there be any music stores left to shop in? How are bands going to make it when it is next to impossible to get backing unless you sound like a carbon copy of a current successful artist.

Jon has stated that he is saddened that children no longer enjoy the “magical” experience of buying records in a high street store because of the ease of downloading individual tracks onto an iPod.
