The organisers of the annual SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS event would like to advise that all 3 day, single day and camping tickets to the 2013 event, taking place Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July at North Byron Parklands, Byron Bay have completely sold out.

The system laboured a little under unprecedented the demand for tickets, but once it started to move it was all smooth sailing.

With an increased capacity this year, all single and three days tickets sold out in under an hour.

With even more artists yet to be announced across the NME/Radio 1, BBC Radio 1 Dance, Lock Up/Rock, Festival Republic, BBC Radio 1Xtra Alternative and BBC Introducing Stages, the line-up just keeps getting bigger and better for 2013!

Voted ‘Best Festival’ at the NME Awards, this year’s Reading & Leeds Festivals are officially set to be better than ever! Reading & Leeds guarantee exclusive performances, huge headliners and rising stars and are the only place to spend the August Bank Holiday weekend with friends this summer.

Joining headliners Green Day, Eminem, and Biffy Clyro will be Lower Than Atlantis, We Are The In Crowd and Bury Tomorrow.

While speaking to Triple M, Airbourne singer Joel O’Keeffe said they have a lot of shows booked this year… but they will be back for Australia’s premiere music festival.

“We’ll be back in Australia for Splendour In The Grass and a few other shows, I think,” he said.

Airbourne will be showcasing songs from their new album Black Dog Barking, which is out May 20.

Example, Tinie Tempah, Ellie Goulding, Mika, Professor Green, Fatboy Slim, Texas and Amy MacDonald are the heavyweight names confirmed for Arthur’s Day celebrations today which, for the first time, will be coming to all corners of Ireland.

There were no tickets on sale this year – all you have to do is just head to one of the 500 free Arthur’s Day events taking place in local pubs across all 32 Counties, and keep an eye on the door to see who walks through!

“Arthur’s Day has always been about people coming together for unique and remarkable music experiences in pubs and venues around the country,” reflects Guinness Marketing Manager Stuart Kinch. “This year, we wanted to do more and give everyone the chance to experience the magic of Arthur’s Day by making all events free and giving the public a chance to vote and help bring a headline artist to their local!

So the Soundwave 2013 line-up has been announced.

Today’s announcement has confirmed Metallica, The Offspring on top of the already confirmed appearance of Blink 182 for the growing festival.

Other bands confirmed are Paramore, Sum 41, Stone Sour and Cancer Bats to name a few.
