Metal Hammer is happy to announce an awesome, one-off publication of a special edition of Metallica’s So What! Magazine – Metallica: The 30th Anniversary Event.

This special edition will commemorate Metallica’s 30th Anniversary celebration that took place at San Francisco’s iconic Fillmore Theatre in December 2011, and will hit newsstands nationwide on May 14, 2012 and is available for pre-order now at www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk/metallica.

“I couldn’t think of a cooler way to round out the first 30 years than how the Fillmore week played out in December,” says Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich. “And I can’t think of a cooler way to start off the next 30 years than immortalizing that unique, incomparable and unforgettable week in magazine form, our first So What! edition to leave the confines of our fan club.”

So here it is folks – as Joey DeMaio promised – find below the dates for the Manowar Ireland and the UK tour.

DeMaio had this to say in the announcement yesterday – “After 16 years, MANOWAR will return to the U.K. — I mean, the whole of the U.K.: England, Scotland, Ireland, North Ireland and Wales”.

”The ‘Battle Hymns’ 2011 U.K. tour will feature MANOWAR performing the entire ‘Battle Hymns’ record plus classic metal hymns that you’ve come to know. The exact tour dates and pre-sale information is coming this Thursday July 21”.

MANOWAR bassist and producer Joey DeMaio has released the below statement to Metal Hammer about the UK tour.

“After 16 years, MANOWAR will return to the U.K. — I mean, the whole of the U.K.: England, Scotland, Ireland, North Ireland and Wales. The Metal Hammer Golden God Awards took place on Monday 13 June, 2011. It is always a great event and the motley crue of artists and industry people flock from Download festival every year to attend the awards. It is a great way to finish the weekend.

The HMS Hammer, took its maiden voyage down the Thames to the ninth annual awards ceremony which took place at the Indigo2, London.

With legends like Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Twisted Sister and Judas Priest in attendance, this year’s Golden God awards was a feast of metal that celebrated everything that’s great about metal in 2011!

As we know Ms Gaga has a wide range of influences that range from any genre you can think of. She may be located in the dance/pop genre but she is by no means restricted by it.

Metal Hammer recently posted a interview with the pint size singer about her love of Iron Maiden after attending one of their concerts.

She spoke about the non-judgement attitude that comes from rock/metal crowds.
