Lady Gaga Brings Her Born This Way Ball To Dublin

Last night seen Lady Gaga‘s current artistic ambition ‘The Born This Way Ball’ land in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.

Support on the night came from Gaga’s longtime performance partner and DJ, LADY STARLIGHT, who had been confirmed as a special guest DJ for all concert dates in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

Also on support on the night was The Darkness, who are currently busy supporting ‘Hot Cakes’. I have always had a soft spot for the band and have great memories of numerous clubs, pubs and house parties with ‘Permission To Land’ as the soundtrack to those times and was over the moon when I heard that the band had reformed and are stronger and better than ever. The band were brilliant last night and on great form.

The Darkness cover Radiohead’s ‘Street Spirit’

The Darkness have posted their cover of Radiohead’s “Street Spirit (Fade Out)”

The original song comes from 1995′s The Bends , and the cover will appear on the Darkness’ forthcoming album, titled Hot Cakes.

The new album is due out August 20, 2012.

The Darkness new video premiere for Everybody Have A Good Time

The Darkness announce the details of the first single release from their eagerly awaited third album with an over the top video premiere.

‘Everybody Have A Good Time’ is a raucous, fists in the air anthem which showcases the band at their classic rock sing-a-long best, and gives a flavour of the tasty new album ‘Hot Cakes’.

The group are famous for their opulent outlandish video’s – who could forget the spaceship in ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’, vocalist Justin Hawkins as a chilly Satan in ‘One Way Ticket to Hell and Back’ and or course the heart-warming festive scenes of ‘Christmas Time’ Don’t Let the Bell’s End.

The Darkness join Lady Gaga on the Born This Way Ball 2012

Lady Gaga has confirmed details of the European leg of her Born This Way Ball world tour, including shows in Dublin, London and Manchester.

Gaga confirmed a total of 21 concerts in Europe, beginning in Sofia, Bulgaria on 14 August. Tickets for the UK gigs go on sale on Friday 13 April.

The tour is scheduled to stop at Dublin’s Aviva stadium on Saturday 15th September.

Crown Jewel Defense set to tour with The Darkness

The time is nearly upon us – when The Darkness hit the road to play for their for the upcoming UK and Ireland tour.

Announced as support for this tour is the California based – Crown Jewel Defense, who can best be described as a smorgasbord of sound.

Noticed as a force to be reckoned with by producer Elvis Baskette (Alter Bridge, Falling In Reverse, Escape the Fate) , Crown Jewel Defense, the brainchild of songwriter, lead guitarist and front man Taylor Hood, was on its way to the studio merely weeks after the first listen.
