Twisted Sister Video Exclusive – I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus

Eagle Rock Entertainment will deliver an early holiday treat, with the release of Twisted Sister’s A Twisted Xmas – Live In Las Vegas on DVD, CD, and Digital Video/Audio.

Previously available only on DVD, as part of the 2011 Bars To The Stars 5DVD boxed set, A Twisted Christmas features the classic tracks “I Wanna Rock”, and “You Can’t Stop Rock ‘n’ Roll” alongside such Christmas favorites as “White Christmas,” “Deck The Halls,” “12 Days Of Christmas,” and many more. “O Come, All Ye Faithful” gets a very special Twisted treatment, with a music bed of “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”

Metal Hammer Golden God Awards 2011

The Metal Hammer Golden God Awards took place on Monday 13 June, 2011. It is always a great event and the motley crue of artists and industry people flock from Download festival every year to attend the awards. It is a great way to finish the weekend.

The HMS Hammer, took its maiden voyage down the Thames to the ninth annual awards ceremony which took place at the Indigo2, London.

With legends like Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Twisted Sister and Judas Priest in attendance, this year’s Golden God awards was a feast of metal that celebrated everything that’s great about metal in 2011!

Twisted Sister – We’re Not Gonna Take It

With the announcement that Twisted Sister are making an appearance at this years Download Festival, I started going back over songs and reading up on one of my favourite and in my opinion underated bands.

The band are originally from Long Island and were formed by guitarist Jay Jay French in December 1972, although all of their songs were written by Dee Snider from 1976 onward. Through the up and downs the band have made some epic music.

The band followed a glam rock direction in the early 70′s and were influenced by David Bowie, Slade, Mott the Hoople, Humble Pie, and New York Dolls. Once Snider joined the group took a heavier musical direction, influenced by Motörhead, Black Sabbath, and Alice Cooper, but without abandoning the glam image.

Just when I am about to put my laptop to sleep and make my way to bed – Download festival go and make an announcement that is going to keep me awake all night. Four more bands have just been announced for this years festival.
