Van Halen announce tour dates and album title

The excitement of writing this post – I have been foaming at the mouth reading about the recent gig at Cafe Wha? nightclub in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village.

Van Halen have confirmed that the new album will be called ‘A Different Kind Of Truth’, and will be released on February 7 via Interscope.

This will be the band’s first new album in 13 years, and first with legendary frontman David Lee Roth since 1984!

Soundwave Revolution Australia Cancelled

Organisers have confirmed rampant speculation earlier today that the festival, which was due to kick off next month, has been cancelled.

The event was scheduled to tour through Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in September and October and was to be headlined by US rock veterans Van Halen.

Soundwave Touring following the massive success of the Soundwave Festival earlier this year, it appears that a number of factors have forced them to pull the plug.

Van Halen set to Tour Outside Of America

I nearly fell off my chair when I read this but it seems it is true – The mighty Van Halen are hitting the road.

Van Halen have taken their reunion outside of the US and Canada for the first time since Dave Lee Roth rejoined the band. The legendary rockers have confirmed that they will headline Australia’s Soundwave Revolutions alongside Machine Head, Danzig, Hole, Alter Bridge and more!

I have a feeling that the band will be a feature heavily on the festival circuit next year – I have my fingers, legs and hair crossed for it and let’s hope that I am not wrong. Imagine ‘Hot for Teacher’ full blast live from these legends!

VAN HALEN – New album details

I was really hoping that VAN HALEN would be announced for one of the festivals this summer as I do every summer, but again I was left dissapointed this year.

Today however I received news that would give hope to this happening in the future.

Respected Metal Show host, Eddie Trunk, tweeted that he heard gossip from a “reliable source” that the “VH album is close to done and will come out this year as cited by the VAN HALEN fan site Van Halen News Desk
