The 2012 Kerrang! awards winners are…..

Rock stars galore including Black Sabbath, Slash, Tenacious D and Black Veil Brides were out in force tonight as the Kerrang! Awards 2012 fuelled by Relentless Energy Drink took place in London. Big winners included Black Sabbath, You Me At Six, Black Veil Brides, My Chemical Romance and Enter Shikari, with over a million votes cast making this the biggest Awards yet.

Renowned as one of the most legendary awards events in the rock music calendar, the Kerrang! Awards 2012 fuelled by Relentless Energy Drink did not disappoint, with a rock royalty theme to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. Hosted by Corey Taylor and Scott Ian, some of the biggest names in international rock and metal took to the Awards “black carpet” to celebrate the past year in music.

On the eve of what will be a triumphant return to Donington Park, with their headlining appearance at the Download Festival on Sunday 10 June, Black Sabbath were honoured with the Kerrang! Inspiration Award.

Revolver Golden Gods Award Show 2012 – Winners and more

The fourth annual REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARD SHOW presented by Epiphone® took place last night (April 11) at Club Nokia in Downtown Los Angeles. For the first time ever, the event was broadcast live in its entirety on Xbox LIVE, as well as on the Xbox and Revolver Facebook pages.

Hosting duties for the GOLDEN GODS awards show was handled by FOZZY frontman and WWE pro-wrestling legend Chris Jericho, who returned for the third consecutive year.

In what could possibly be the band’s only performance of 2012, and their first in 4 years, the wait was over as Sixx:A.M. fans as the band opened the show. They performed their new single “Are You With Me Now” and the top 10 active rock hit “This Is Gonna Hurt.” Nikki Sixx is also up for the “Best Bassist” award and won – much to our delight.

Sonisphere takes home ‘Line up of the Year’ at the UK Festival Awards

The great and the good of the UK Festival industry were out in force tonight at London’s Roundhouse to celebrate the eighth annual UK Festival Awards, which followed the Festival Conference, which took place during the day.

Hosted by The Cuban Brothers, the event saw 16 trophies handed out throughout the evening, which featured exclusive comedy performances by Trevor Lock, Luke Benson and a closing set from John Cooper Clarke. Seven awards were announced during the Festival Conference.

The only double winner of the UK Festival Awards – Derbyshire’s Y-Not Festival – received the awards for both ‘The Grass Roots Festival Award’ (in association with ID&C) and ‘Best Toilets’ (In association with Shewee), having expanded from one scaffold stage and a handmade DJ booth in a disused quarry to three stages and more than 80 bands. These awards were announced at the Festival Conference.

Metal Hammer Golden God Awards 2011

The Metal Hammer Golden God Awards took place on Monday 13 June, 2011. It is always a great event and the motley crue of artists and industry people flock from Download festival every year to attend the awards. It is a great way to finish the weekend.

The HMS Hammer, took its maiden voyage down the Thames to the ninth annual awards ceremony which took place at the Indigo2, London.

With legends like Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Twisted Sister and Judas Priest in attendance, this year’s Golden God awards was a feast of metal that celebrated everything that’s great about metal in 2011!
